Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Prospify platform (the “Service”), operated by Prospify (“we,” “us,” or “our”).

By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

Prospify is a credit card optimization and spending analytics platform that helps you:

• Connect your financial accounts through Plaid to track credit card transactions
• Analyze your spending patterns across categories and merchants
• Receive recommendations for optimal credit card usage to maximize rewards
• Split expenses with friends and groups through Splitwise integration

The Service is provided for informational and personal finance management purposes. We are not a financial advisor, bank, or credit institution. Our recommendations are based on publicly available credit card reward structures and your spending data, and should not be considered financial advice.

To use the Service, you must create an account using Google OAuth. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Google account and for all activity that occurs under your Prospify account.

You agree to: provide accurate and complete information; promptly update your information if it changes; not share your account with others; and notify us immediately of any unauthorized access.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that we reasonably believe are being used for fraudulent purposes.

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, other accounts, or any related systems or networks
• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service
• Use automated means (bots, scrapers, etc.) to access the Service without our written permission
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service
• Use another person's financial credentials or connect accounts you are not authorized to access

The Service integrates with the following third-party services. Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies:

Plaid. We use Plaid to connect to your financial institutions. By using this feature, you agree to Plaid's End User Privacy Policy and acknowledge that Plaid will access your financial data on our behalf.

Splitwise. If you connect your Splitwise account, we access your Splitwise data to enable expense-splitting features. Your use of Splitwise is governed by Splitwise's terms of service.

Google. Account authentication is provided through Google OAuth. Your Google account is subject to Google's terms of service and privacy policy.

We are not responsible for the practices, content, or availability of these third-party services.

The Service, including its design, features, content, and code, is owned by Prospify and is protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on the Service without our written permission.

Your financial data remains yours. We claim no ownership over the transaction data, spending patterns, or other financial information you provide through the Service.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

Not financial advice. Credit card recommendations and spending analytics provided by the Service are for informational purposes only. We do not guarantee the accuracy of reward calculations or that our recommendations will result in actual savings. You should verify all information independently before making financial decisions.

Data accuracy. While we strive to provide accurate transaction data and analytics, we rely on data provided by Plaid and your financial institutions. We are not responsible for inaccuracies, delays, or gaps in the financial data.

Limitation of liability. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Prospify shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses resulting from your use of the Service.

You may terminate your account at any time by deleting your account through your profile settings. Upon deletion, all your data will be permanently removed as described in our Privacy Policy.

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice. Reasons for termination may include, but are not limited to, violations of these Terms, fraudulent activity, or extended periods of inactivity.

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be resolved in the courts of competent jurisdiction.

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
